Thursday Run

Didn’t happen…. Yes, I know. I feel like a total slacker. It was 47* and 27 mph winds when I was supposed to leave tonight. So, nice temperature but the wind has been exhausting the last couple of days. I slept horribly last night. Woke up at 2:30 am completely stressed because I bought a kennel off Craigslist last night for the new dog I’m planning on picking up Monday morning (got a screaming deal too!!). Yes, I decided. No Kindle Fire HD 8.9″…… So, it’s time to start a new puppy training which I love and I also feel that happy nervousness – I’m counting down the days now – and I couldn’t sleep.  Silly, really, but that knowledge didn’t help me fall back to sleep.  My mother in law is here visiting, all the kids found out about the dog, blah, blah, blah….  I looked at the clock and realized I had to get ready to go and completely hit a wall.  So, not only did I not do my run (which I always feel badly about because I know if I get out there, it’s always worth it) I ate pizza.  Not that I”m anti-pizza mind you but I don’t eat it often and I don’t usually miss a run.

Good news??  Tomorrow is another day.  My training isn’t nearly shot and I will persevere.  Training is about pushing yourself but not beating yourself up.

    1. Ah, well, it happens. Losing one run isn’t the end of the world. I don’t necessarily think I have to “Make it up” or fit it in some other time in the week. I stay so consistent and have for so long I never stress. Sometimes you have to let it go – other times you have to push it. In the end, it’s all good….
